ABIGAIL HINMAN CHAPTER,
NATIONAL SOCIETY DAUGHTERS
OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION

Stonington, Connecticut

God, Home, and Country. That is the motto that the NSDAR lives by and stands behind. The Society was founded in 1890 with the simple mission of promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism. These timeless principles keep the NSDAR strong.

Welcome! to the Abigail Hinman Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), located in the beautiful Connecticut shore area of Stonington in New London County.

We are a fairly new chapter, having celebrated our fifth anniversary in February of 2025.

The Abigail Hinman Chapter, NSDAR, invites all women 18 years and older who can prove lineal descent to an American Patriot to join us in serving our National Society's mission. We have dedicated ourselves to promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism while honoring the Patriots of the American Revolutionary War.

We are an active and friendly chapter focused on service.

Service to our communities, to our veterans, and to America's future, the children.  We have an annual school supply drive in September and an annual food collection in November.  In addition to chapter meetings, we keep our members engaged by providing extra activities focused on learning more about the American Revolutionary War and Colonial America with a monthly book club, great programs and day trips to historic venues.
